Copier brands compared

Every major photocopier brand makes a good machine. The differences are in the panel, the running costs, the finishing options and who will look after it. Here they are side by side.

  • Every major brand
  • New: Toshiba, Kyocera, HP, OKI, Lexmark
  • Secondhand: all of them

Ten brands, described plainly

We are not tied to one maker. We supply new Toshiba, Kyocera, HP, OKI and Lexmark machines, and sell every major brand secondhand. So when we suggest a brand, it is because it suits how your office works.

Toshiba

New and used

Toshiba builds dependable A3 office machines with one touch screen layout across the range, so a team moving from one e STUDIO to another finds its way around straight away.

Kyocera

New and used

Kyocera's big idea is long life parts: drums and developer units built to last for a very large number of pages, so fewer parts are replaced and the cost per page stays low.

Other names

Xerox, Brother and Epson

Until 2021, every Xerox copier sold in Australia was a Fuji Xerox machine, and that line now carries the Fujifilm name: see Fuji Xerox and Fujifilm copiers. The Xerox machines in Brisbane offices today are those Fuji Xerox models, and we sell them secondhand. Lexmark, which we supply new, has been part of Xerox since 2025.

Brother and Epson A3 machines are mostly printers built for the occasional A3 job, rather than the office copiers we supply and service. If you are replacing one, an office multifunction printer or an A3 copier is usually the step up: see A3 printers and copiers and office printers.

Replacement warranty

If it fails, we replace it. For the whole term.

Every machine on our service agreement comes with our replacement warranty, new or secondhand, rented, leased, financed or bought outright. If it fails, we replace it. That cover lasts for the whole term of your agreement, not just the first year.

A maker's warranty on a new copier usually runs for 12 months and covers the hardware, not consumables. After that, the service agreement is what really covers you. The replacement warranty terms are set out in your agreement.

Questions

Questions about brands

What is the best photocopier brand?

There is no single best. Every major brand makes a good office machine. The right one depends on your volume, the panel your team finds easiest, the running cost and who will service it near you.

Kyocera or Toshiba?

Both make dependable A3 machines. Kyocera's long life parts keep running costs low; Toshiba's single panel layout across its range is easy for staff. We supply both new and will show you each side by side.

Can you service any brand?

We service the machines we sell, across every brand we sell.
